Why Botox Works
Every expression line on your face is the record of a muscle doing its job. The 11s between your brows, the horizontal lines across your forehead, the fan at the corners of your eyes, those are creases worn in by movement you've repeated tens of thousands of times.
Botox (clinically, onabotulinumtoxinA) is a purified neuromodulator. Placed in very small amounts into a specific muscle, it interrupts the nerve signal telling that muscle to contract. The muscle relaxes. The skin above stops folding. Over a few weeks, the crease softens.
The same mechanism does something different in a large muscle like the masseter: rather than smoothing skin, it reduces how hard that muscle can clench, which is why it both slims a square jawline and quiets grinding.
Botox is completely temporary. It metabolizes and wears off. If you don't love it, you're a few months from exactly where you started and if you stop altogether, your lines return to where they were, not worse.

Real Life in Pensacola
There's a version of a med spa that requires a free afternoon and a specific kind of life. That's not this.
Botox takes about fifteen minutes. Clients come in on a lunch break from downtown, between the Nine Mile drop-off and a 10 a.m. meeting, or after work before dinner in Seville Square. You can walk out and go straight to Publix. Nobody will know unless you tell them.
The timing rule worth remembering: book about two weeks before anything you actually care about. A wedding at Pensacola Beach, a reunion, senior photos, a big presentation. Two weeks is when Botox has fully settled and any small bruise has resolved. If your event is Saturday, we'll tell you honestly to schedule for after it instead.

Typically 3 to 4 months for facial areas. Masseter Botox usually lasts 4 to 6 months because the muscle is larger. A lip flip is shorter, around 2 to 3 months, because the dose is small. Duration varies with metabolism, muscle strength, and how much you exercise.
You'll usually notice something in 3 to 5 days, with full results at 10 to 14 days. If you see nothing on day three, that's normal and not a sign it didn't take.
Not when it's dosed correctly. The frozen look comes from over-treatment, not from the product. We dose conservatively and bring you back at two weeks to add if needed, we can always add, we can't take away.
Masseter Botox relaxes the large muscle along the jaw. It reduces clenching and grinding, often within 1 to 2 weeks, and gradually slims a square jawline, with visible change at 3 to 4 weeks and full effect by 6 to 12 weeks. Results last about 4 to 6 months.

A few units placed above the upper lip relax the muscle that pulls it down, so slightly more of your lip shows when you smile. It adds no volume, it changes how your existing lip sits. Results last about 2 to 3 months.
